Has there been any word from GW if new units will be getting Apocalypse datasheets or know of fan resources that have/will make datasheets for the units?

It would be nice if the datasheets were available in the Warhammer app (haven't subscribed to it yet - waiting for the inevitable bug fixes first) and the online PDFs were kept up with additional units. Moreover, it would be nice if the datasheets appeared in new codexes....or at least, White Dwarf.

Sadly, can't post this to Facebook myself, as I don't have an account (mostly for work-related reasons, damn corporate watchdogs).

<EDIT: Replaced Armageddon with the proper game name Apocalypse>

You mean Apocalypse? No word that I've seen, but I really hope so. Apoc has so much potential. If Blackstone Fortress could get an annual publication, I feel like Apoc could...

I mean, they literally suggest using it for larger games on page 3 of the new 40K Core Rules, but sure, go off.

Just because they suggest it doesn't mean it's supported.

And just because you've arbitrarily decided that to be the case, doesn't mean it isn't.

No fixes to broken units (Fistybots), zero updates since the one and only errata pass, no updates for new units. Seems pretty dead to me.

the new marine units and sisters of battle units added with their new codex have been added to their PDFs no updates to the character sheets for new characters from psykic awakening yet but toss the primaris keyword of mephestion and ragnar and thats all you need

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

Which marine units were added to the PDF?

Apoc is a different game with all of its own rules, it 100% works in 9th as it did in 8th b.c you don't need 8th or 9th rules to play it. Thats like asking if Necromunda still works now that 9th is out.

Not so much asking for rules revision as hoping they add the Datasheets for things like the Skorpek Destroyers, Plasmacites and other models they've released since the Apoc box set came out. I don't think its too much to ask them to keep the game up-to-date with the model releases.

Unfortunately the fate of almost any specialist game GW makes, very popular for a short period then ignored after that. Adeptus Titanicus seems to be fairing better for now at least.

Blood for the bloo... wait no, I meant for Sanguinius!

In apocalypse, your unit attacks with each weapon it has, and most weapons' damage is based on the unit's Attacks stat.

To use Cultists as an example: Cultists are equipped with ONE instance of the weapon "Autoguns". The weapon "Autoguns" attacks 1 time with the Rapid Fire rule, mulitplied by the unit's Attacks stat.

If you have 10 cultists, you make 1 attack with your Autoguns.

If you have 20 cultists, your attack stat becomes 2, so you make 2 attacks with your 1 Autoguns.

Get it?

Other units, mostly units with heavy weapons, have weapons that make a fixed number of attacks, and they take multiple of them. A Shuriken Cannon for example, makes 1 attack. you can take 3 shuriken cannons on a wave serpent, meaning you roll 3 dice.

Kastelan Robots when you take more of them, increase their Attacks stat. They have the Kastelan Fists weapon, which each model gets a copy of. The kastelan fists weapon makes a number of attacks equal to the ATTACKS STAT of the unit.

Therefore, if you take the maximum number of Kastelan robots, you get your attacks stat up to 6, and EACH INSTANCE of fists in the unit makes 6 attacks.

This is almost certainly an accident. Easiest way to fix it would be to make the attacks stat of kastelan robots "2" no matter what their unit size is. if you have 2 robots, you'd get 2 Fist attacks from your 1 set of fists. If you have 4 robots, you get 2 more sets of fists, so you make 4 attacks with them (2 fists x 2 attacks). etc, etc. Scaling linearly.

Unfortunately because of how the rules are written it scales exponentially, which is almost certainly not the intent. Particularly because they did exactly this with Sydonian Dragoons, who have a very similar weapon setup.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"
