New class is paid dlc for 12 bucks, story going to be improved with a option for us experienced players to go through it as if we were new, and difficulty will be tied to beating missions instead of level.

I’m wondering what will happen to the extra character slot we’ve had for a while, some people made a fifth character already which would have to be deleted if they want to play the new class they just paid for.

Also, I do appreciate how the previous event with the radio operators sort of got followed up by with this update as the nuncio Aquila broadcasting propaganda is a new thing the new class can use. A bit of a stretch I know, but I like to think it was foreshadowing.

wow, this is useless.


While I agree with the other two points, I sorta disagree with the classes promise. They initially said new classes every quarter, but then went and made the skill trees making each class more like three classes each with common traits. Vermintide had 4 bucks per class, and since it’s a given the new class will have three subclasses in it, I can see how the pricing was decided.

The micro transactions and the lack of meaningful updates is stupid though, and I’m hoping the revamp to how missions are selected and story/progression will address the meaningful updates part a little bit.

I like how the in game story has a sort of explanation for why every squad is just arbiters spam, it’s a hostile takeover, of course the arbiters stick to each other at the start and there’s a lot of them, as time goes on and people play other classes it’s just more arbiters dying and finally opening up to the rejects. A little bit of head canon to grease the wheels, sure, but I think it’s neat.

Oh yeah, current event is recover or destroy rations, on one hand I want to recover them so citizens aren’t hungry, on the other hand they’re clearly nurgle infected and heresy can’t be allowed, on the other secret sinister hand I want to see what happens if we infect the citizens more. Decisions decisions.

(I only wonder since apparently this will affect the plot somewhat according to devs, so curious to see what everyone else is doing as independent thought is scary)
