Little side project I finished up, before I'll be starting to paint some Marines and DZC Scourge. I really like gnolls, so finding a game that let me play a warband of them has been a sweet dream. The Warband has a few conversions, mostly the original sculpts didn't have tails, so I raided my bitz box and fixed that slight injustice. Also added some hyena goofiness such as the barbarian trying to keep his stolen helmet on, a nutty and a thief about to burn his fingers with a torch. A gnoll's take on being a 'knight' and the very nicely dressed wizard, and his hunchbacked apprentice.

Barbarian, Templar, Apprentice, Wizard, Knight, Apothecary, and Marksman (Marksgnoll?):

Nifty! You seem to have enjoyed the project. Going to pre-order the 2nd ed rulebook?

Yeah, biggest issue is getting a game in. I've got a couple people interested, but might wait till I get the 2nd ed. book in hand. Just in case I have to change anything.

Though, yeah I thoroughly enjoyed this.

If you've been following the 2nd ed. Frostgrave thread there's mention of some changes. Frostgrave: Second Edition – Rumour Mill 1 is the first post the designer made in his own blog. Most of the expansion books see little to no change for use. A big change we know about is what soldiers can go into the warband.

"Now, when you are creating a warband, you can have 8 soldiers, with a maximum of 4 specialists. Standard soldiers include thieves, thugs, men-at-arms, infantrymen and a few others. So, they aren’t all bad, but they are mostly limited to just fighters. Additionally, thugs and thieves can now be recruited for free. This means, no matter how badly your warband gets mauled, you will always be able to field a full complement of figures for your next game. This eliminates the biggest potential imbalance in the game."
So you won't get to use all the Specialists you've converted, but will have to choose.

Well I made so many specialists so I could try different ones out and have a model on hand to use. Free thugs and thieves is interesting though, wonder what warhounds are going to cost.
