Hello, I'm looking at painting my new Primaris Outrider bikes gloss black with chrome accessories. Like a kitted out Harley. I'm looking a paint that looks just like chrome. Does it exist? Thank you.

Maybe easier if you could use a chrome primer first, then paint the rest? I bought some chrome primer in-store (regular hardware store, nothing fancy) and the result was honestly surprising! Might not be the best to paint over as I did only a single model and remember it being weird, but it could be done.

Fantasy armies - Retired (Tomb Kings, Vampires, Empire, Chaos Warriors/Daemons, Dark Elves)

Tyranids army - Ever evolving, but about 10k pts
Custodes - 3,500pts (Fully painted yay!)
Thousand Sons - 4,000 pts
Eldar - 3,000pts

Only a few small parts of the model would be chrome. The rest will be black and what ever color I decide to paint the Marine. I don't want to mess up the rest of the model just to get the chrome right.

Molotow Liquid Chrome! It's ink for alchol based paint markers. You can buy the refills or just open up a pen. Works best if airbrushed, unthinned, with a thick coat.

Plenty of tutorials for using it online, I have recently bought it and can say the chrome effect is AMAZING. Beware of the long cure times though; even though it can be touch-dry very quickly, it's important to leave it undisturbed for 2-3 days to properly cure. That helps to keep the shine durable.

It's probably not as good as the liquid chrome above, but the Vallejo Metal Color chrome paint is probably about as good as you'll get for a water-based acrylic.

Thank you. I just ordered it and some Alclad clear which I heard was the best for adding a gloss coat that won't dull the chrome out.
