Just wondering if you can still take them outside of specific events that ban them?

One thing that bothers me about them is that points aren't going to feel right.
For example, in Legends you can take a Reaper launcher on an Autarch which in 8th cost 22ppm.
But in 9th, the RLs cost has been merged into the Dark Reapers cost. So the RL in 9th is now 0ppm.
That doesn't feel right on a BS2+ model that rerolls 1s.
Another example is using Twin Autocannons on Dreads. The points don't exist at all for Marines in 9th, so do we use the 8th points?
Same question for a Chaos Lord on a bike?

I use all 3 of these examples in my games at home (albeit I've swapped to a Fusion gun for my Autarch since there is a 9th points cost for it) but I was just wondering what the "official" ruling on Legends is.

Legends are still valid for any form of play. The only thing "special" about Legends is that they are recommended to be disallowed during Organised Play (i.e. Tournaments).

They are perfectly legal for regular Matched or Narrative play games.

The points for a Twin Autocannon are in the Legends PDF.

Thanx BCB. That's what I hoped, but you never know with a new edition.

Even though it sounds like an Autarch can still take the RL, it still feels too dirty so I won't be taking it ever again.
The only thing "Legends" about my Autarch now is his Banshee mask and taking both Lance & Fusion gun even though the Codex datasheet is either/or.

With Covid and my work schedule, it doesn't look like I'll be playing any organized play games for a while anyway.
