Subject: Stardrake and Stormcast Eternals characters on alternative scheme
Today we want to share a pretty challenging and different order. Normally when you think about stormcast eternals immediately comes to your mind those gold and blue warriors. Well, this scheme was not exactly what our customer was looking for…
When he introduced us his existing collection of Stormcast Eternals, our brain was completely blown away by the colour scheme he had chosen. The painting standard was pretty good and the army was painted following some very defined techniques that we would had to reply if we wanted to achieve exactly the same style and quality. Then it was decided: our “Colonel” level 4/5 would be the one we will be applying on the Celestant Prime and Lord Arcanamun on foot while our highest standard (“General”, level 5/5) will be used only on the Stardrake.
After picking the base colours for the brass, pink and blue, we ran into another difficult challenge: our customer wanted a white pearled effect for the dragon skin and wings. After several tests, we finally got that almost white metallic appearance with several airbrush lights of a very smooth and subtle brilliant colours. A generous gloss varnish layer would complete the pearled effect.
Our customer was very satisfied with the final look of his commission because we got some centerpieces for his army and a perfect match with his existing scheme. Do your like them? All your comments are welcome!
