Other than the Zoat (& I'll presume the Ambull), are there any other unaligned units/models?

If so, what are they? And if anyones inclined to share; what's their PL, & what's the max # I can have in an army?

I ask as I'm pondering a strange new force for the opening days of our (eventual) Crusade.....

Spindle drones!
I think there's a big drone version as well, Guardian drones, but I haven't found anything about them.

Big one isn't out yet.

Spindle Drones are PL 3 for 4 models.

Unfortunately the datasheet includes the phrase 'Only one of this unit may be included in your army.' For whatever reason everything in the BFS main set is restricted to whats in the box

Efficiency is the highest virtue.

The nice thing about the unaligned models is that you can go wild for more Auxiliary forces for Tau. I think that makes you lose all your Sept benefits though doesn't it?

Only if you somehow include them in a Tau detachment. If you bring them as auxiliary detachments you're fine (which I believe is the only valid way to bring them in Matched Play)

edit, for clarity: Battle Brothers means all units must share a faction keyword in a detachment, and the Army Faction rule gives a specific exception for Unaligned units. So you need a pure Unaligned detachment in order to bring any and they have no HQ Unaligned units, so the only legal detachment for them is Auxiliary Support.

I really wish they get rid of that line!
I'd LOVE to run an Unaligned Army!

Well based on CP benefits for 9th that isn't as big a deal.

Fortifications are the biggest category of unaligned units.
Bastions, plasma obliterators, void shield generators, etc.

Has anyone ever taken <maximum number of detachments for that game/tourney> Fortification Networks?
Nothing but Fortifications with automated guns.

Unlikely. Even in a "just for fun" game, I think most people would realise that wouldnt actually be fun before any dice are rolled.

Fortifications in general were notoriously underpowered in 8e (generally), and i dont think that has changed so far for 9e.

At least until the Hammerfall Bunker releases and is probably ridiculous...
