I only recently started to play Necrons myself, I think I have played maybe three or four games with Necrons so I'm probably wrong on a lot of things still, but here's my opinion.
What is the reasoning of Nihilak over another Dynasty? I ask because I am increasingly coming across gun line lists, with space marines especially, and unless something changes to a lot of ranges for the Necrons with the new codex, I think it may almost be best to get up close and personal with some of the Gauss Reapers.
I currently use Sautekh specifically to get me closer to my target in order to rapid fire asap. plus it lets you advance and shoot as if your weapon was a assault weapon.
I think that blobs are difficult for now, but if something can make them ignore leadership the point is kinda moot, reading other forums, I found out that you can stack the +1 to reanimator as long as its from different units i.e. Crypteks and Canoptik Reanimators so you could get a +3 to reanimator protocols
I like the idea of running a blob of tomb blades with teslas in to the middle of the enemies, and with the Indomitus overlord you can MWBD the tomb blades, I don't currently own any Tomb Blades with GW being out of stock currently on most Necron models... But that was something I have thought of doing before.
I just recently got my hands on a Doom Scythe, so haven't used it in a game yet, but I think as long as I dont try to play with any of those new Melta guns the Space Marines have I think it'll be fine.
as far as I am aware, there is zero change to how Blast works between 11 and 20 or more models, the attacker just gets max number of shots so if you have a way to ignore leaderships, I say run the 20 man blobs instead of 4 of 15 or run 6 squads of 10, 20 man units can take a little more punishment but with out a way to ignore leadership they are difficult to justify
Personally, I don't like the Plasmancer as much as a base Cryptek since the Plasmancer doesn't give the +1 to reanimator to units close to it.
I really like ghost arks, and im trying to get my hands on some.
and since a lot of people that I play against love to assault, I in turn love the Royal Warden.
