The only reason I ask is because there are moments while playing that made me stop and go, is that cannon? Is there sects of Ordos Diabolus and Hereticus that have near autonomous and limitless authority? Do separate systems have individual inquisition conclaves? Is that really what a Plasma cannon sounds like? I can't tell if it was designed for fun, or if it's an actual deep lore dive into the Inquisition and it's inner workings.

Also, is it cannon to have Ad-Mech Inquisitors? I know there are extremely heavily modified/enhanced inquisitors, but Admech seems like it would be too far for the militant arm of the literal church that stands in opposite to the church of the machine god.

I always thought the point of the Inqusition was that it doesn't make sense. I mean heck, I just bought Kyria and she uses Xenotech and has a Xenopet.

How?

Also, Xenopets sounds like a great mobile game guardsmen play on their iDroids or whatever they have in the 41st M.

Can't see anything there that does not fit.

All Inquisitors technically have unlimited authority
System and larger Conclaves have been in the lore for a long time
Ad-Mech Inquisitors - plausable as a Marine or Sororitas one and they have been referenced as possible.
A large part of the Ad Mech truly belives that the Emperor is the Machine God so all fine and not all Inquisitors believe in the Emperor in the same way - one of the many many reasons they often disagree/argue/fight/go to war.

Has it ever been referenced how many strong the Inquisition is? I assume they have less than say, the IG, but less than a SM Legion. 4-6k inquisitors?

The number of Inquisitors is canonically unknown (there's a blurb on it in the 9th BRB if you're curious).

So in Gaunt's fist book, it talks about a "Inquisitor" that is made up to look like a horse, with the name Heldane (Audiobook pronunciation) Is this the same guy who was in Eisenhorne's first book? I only ask because the same guy wrote both books, and Heldane appears in the Eisenhorne series, I just don't know if it's the same guy or what?

It's not super common, but it does happen on occasion. Especially if it's from the same author but occasionally not. Without spoilers, similar crossovers were in Ahriman: Unchanged, The Beheading and The Emperor's Gift. There's probably others but I can't think of any.
