Your army can fit into a patrol detachment - just ditch the warboss and spend the CP elsewhere. Maybe a second trukk? I have to reflect on the MA mekboss. While I like the idea, it is kind of expensive. KMB and da killa klaw for S4 attacks seems like a decent idea for a deffskulls warboss though.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe. |

I think the MA Big Mek is probably going to start becoming a staple in these kinds of lists. I mean... what other HQs do we have left in a mech waaagh? I just can't conceptualize how you realistically keep the Wartrike safe, and he's way too expensive to just throw away.
At least it can give a KFF to a second wagon, which isn't a bad tradeoff. If a regular KFF Mek (with no combat potential) is worth 75 points, Paying like 50 points so it can actually fight seems okay.
It's just a shame it has no advance / charge aura, so you can't push it up to 5 attacks with Might is Right or something.
The probably better version of this list is just to take an Outrider / Spearhead, and just take the exact number of boys I want, then fill out FA / Heavy as desired. I don't need that much CP anyway.

Nothing prevents you from giving him that aura if you feel like you don't need a D4 PK

As pointed out, your army already fits inside a patrol, so you with some minor changes you can have both the CP and an extra trukk or scrapjet.

I mean, if I dropped 2 boy squads and the trukk, I could 255 points floating (I'd probably drop the rocket as the transport isn't open topped). Enough for 2 more buggies and 7 big shootas + grot riggers on the forktress. The patrol detachment ironically has me full on slots.
I could go double patrol, though, and then have room for pretty much anything I wanted. Take follow me lads to dampen the CP blow. Maybe to just stick it in GWs face, I'll swap out the boss fo Da Rippa and put Da Killa Klaw on the MA Mek.
10 ES boys in a Forktress wagon sounds decent to me, actually. At least I got a biker boss back even if it's a nerfed one.

Still no fan of Zardsnark, but if you want to run him, that's probably the best way to do it.
I've had great success with grot riggers on the forktress, especially when it generates from 3 wound to 4. If you have points to spare, definitely one of the first things to get.

I’m not the biggest fan either, but he’s all we got now :(
Have you done double wagon? Wondering if adding 2” move to the second wagon might be a good idea.

If anything, I run bonebreaka+gunwagon+naut, but haven't done dual transports in a long time.
Most likely, a second wagon would be full of tank bustas or flash gits. Gits are probably the better choice due to looting, but I don't own any and the guy who I used to borrow them from is no longer available.
