Hey Dakka!

I've been playing for months on TTS with Eldar as I put my force together and paint it in quarantine. I've only played one game so far with this current iteration.

I know it works in 9th, at least against the armies I've played it against (Top 4s from 40kstats.com) but I wanted to run it past the community to see what your thoughts are.

Note, the funky Troupe squad is based off my Harlequin kill team on my shelf that I'm porting into the army, hence the weird weapon choices.

My major questions at this point:

  • Is it worth the extra CP to have the Jetbike specialist detachment "Windrider Host?"

How do I protect my many characters with the new look out sir rules, especially after the units they support charge off into battle?

With the inability to fire pistols after advancing, is it worth getting fusion pistols on my Harlequin squad?

What Army build out there in the new 9th ed presents the strongest counter to this?

  • Spoiler:

It's a pretty potent list in terms of killing power and durability but it may struggle with objectives.
One big deathstar unit is sometimes ok in ninth but not always, two definitely will leave you struggling sometimes.
Possibly split the blades and put one in the serpent, one in deepstrike and give a psyker ghostwalk?
