I'll leave it to someone more of a grognard to complain about the armour.
When you say 'historical based', do you mean 'historical', or do you mean 'fantasy but not rolled in spikes and skulls'? Either's good.
Thank you for the feed back we will take a look at the snout and lips and see what can be done.
If you have some ideas or thoughts about the armor now's the time to add some input before we finish the sculpt the above is a unfinished rough copy. It will go through a few changes before a master copy is produced.
As far as Historical based goes we mean that it's as close as Historical as we can get without directly modeling actual historical harness worn by real knights. We want our miniatures to appease the scrutinizing historical collector. And fit right into a fantasy setting just as easily.
The idea is to get a healthy mix of heroic scale and realism, with a touch of creative license.
We also are a team of old school miniature collectors, and have been trying to sculpt our miniatures with customization in mind. We want to deliver multipart models that you can mix and match parts, or kit bash for other projects you might have.
That's why feedback at this stage is very important to us. We have studied over one thousand historical suits of armor, and modern recreations to ensure that armor looks as real as possible.
Our artists have photographed countless images at museums and studied the material extensively for years to be historically accurate.
We have a great deal of pride in attempting to getting the aesthetic just right. And we're doing our best to ensure customer satisfaction. And we are employing a mix of traditional sculpting, and 3D modeling software for the final products.
The most important part of the process was to get the horse caparison to look like real cloth in motion, and we used a series of physics based programs, and sculpting to achieve a realistic sense of motion to the cloth.
The end goal is make something truly unique for the collector that will stand apart from the competition taking advantage of modern technology, and traditional hand sculpted methods for the final product.
In addition to historical knights we plan to have a number of bitz, swords, alternative heads and even terrain in the future. As well as a Table Top War Game planned for release next year.
