Hello folks,
Corona killed tabletop games as you all know but you can still do single player missions, if you want.
Let's compile in this thread a couple of ideas.
I finished last week the fourth and last of my IK (took me five/six years for all) and itched for an opportunity to try 'em all out at once. So what to do with them? Wondering about the real life implications of Corona, I got the inspiration to do a Nurgle Zombie Apocalypse mission. So I grabbed all of my painted zombies from different games (Total: 152) and had a go.
Title:
Nurgle Zombie Apocalypse
Mission Briefing:
Four Imperial Knights (IK) must defend a city from a rampaging horde of zombies.
Mission Victory Conditions:
The IK win, if all zombies are destroyed.
The zombies win, if a SINGLE zombie leaves the battlefield via the opposing board edge which would be the deployment zone of the IK.
Game Rules:
- Alternate unit activation
- Order System (First Fire, Advance, Charge)
- Blast templates (highly recommended)
Mission Special Rules:
- Turns are NOT limited.
- Respawn
- Limited Ammo
Respawn:
When a unit of zombies is wiped out, place a zombie respawn token at the position of the zombie of the unit who was CLOSEST to the deployment zone of the IKs.
The zombies of this unit MUST return to the battlefield in the next turn when the unit is activated. Place a zombie where the respawn token was and place all remaining zombies with their bases in contact with each other in a circular blob.
A zombie unit may use the Respawn ability only ONCE per game.
Limited Ammo:
Main guns of IKs (Thermal Cannon, AGC, RFBC) are only able to fire for six turns. Their rocket pods are also limited to fire for only six turns.
Scenery:
To simulate a city under Siege place unmanned bunkers, barb wire and minefields near the deployment zone of the IKs.
And how went the game?
Well, the mission took me nine turns to complete and in the last turn one zombie was only a couple of inches away from the opposing board edge (city). He died due to overwatch fire from a heavy stubber.
