So I recently started to get back into 40k...again. I found my grey knights I never finished painting so I bought this grey knights steel paint. From what I remember it wasn't around when I first started painting them. I remember using leadbelcher or some other silver with the drakenhof shade but this new paint already has a slight blue color to it and using drakenhof makes it way too blue. What do you guys use or recommend using to keep the nice color of that paint but also shade with?

i'd either go with just black wash or mix black & blue wash together. Test on a bit of sprue or old mini you don't mind trying things out on.]
Oh, & welcome back

I'd personally basecoat in Leadbelcher, wash with Nuln Oil, followed by a heavy drybrush of Grey Knights Steel, and (optional step) then a light drybrush of either Stormhost Silver, or a 1:1 mix of Grey Knights Steel and Stormhost Silver, focusing on the sharper edges.

Not at all how the paint would suggest its used, that's one very blue Grey Knight.

I'm not sure I like grey knights steel, but have tried playing with it and it looks slightly better when painted over a Leadbelcher, rather than grey or black, base.
