Hey all

My gaming buddy is buying the 9th Command Edition box set, and I've agreed to buy the Necrons from him. I'm wondering though how much of a discount are GW giving vs buying everything separately? I don't want to short change my gaming buddy, but obviously I don't want to pay full price for the Necron models either, as that'd come to way more than what he's paying for them by buying the box set!

Thanks in advance.

Is that the one with the terrain? Iirc, you could safely pay 1/4 of the cost and both feel like you got more for your money...

Well, if he's buying that set, then he's looking at spending 105 quid. The easiest thing would be to say you bay 52.50, but this wouldn't be right as you won't be getting any terrain or the rulebook.

The elite edition comes with an identical number of models, but no terrain or book. That's £65 so you could easily say to him you'll pay 32.50 for your models. This is still a great discount on that number of models, but as they're easy to build they would probably sell seperately for around 50/60 quid.

So if you don't want to short change him, about 35 or 40 quid is reasonable

I'd also suggest half the price of the Elite box. He's keeping the terrain and the rules, so that seems fair.
