Hey all I just had a quick question will super clean a product I’ve consistently used on plastic models do any damage to resin/green stuff models. For example maybe Forgeworld Resin that I primed the wrong color one day?

Should be fine on Forgeworld Resin.

I can't speak to green stuff and how it might affect that.

I've also used "LA's Totally Awesome" cleaner from the dollar store (yellow), and found it better than Super Clean.

That being said, I've not a found any stripper for plastic or resin that is guaranteed to remove all the primer. Sometimes the primer will stain the plastic or resin, sometimes it just won't shift. In which case I've cleaned it as much as posssible, and re-sprayed and had no issues.

Yeah it does the same with plastic I’m just looking to remove enough. When I re spray it the layering won’t have an issue I notice it thins out the overall coverage but doesn’t take off the color all the time. Thanks for the feedback!

It “should” be fine, but always test on a piece of sprue first. I have had one minor issue with Superclean softening a resin Privateer Press model. It did finally re harden, but taught me to always test first.

Green stuff will be destroyed; you’ll have to redo them after stripping. Resin should be fine, but you should be careful brushing.

Thanks for the feedback I have an extra contemptor foot soaking right now. Thanks for the heads up about the green stuff luckily it isn’t to big of a repair but I can get a head start reshaping the bit now that I have a heads up! Thanks!

For those of you interested I soaked a forgeworld Resin piece in super clean for 3 days as a test and yeah didn’t even become soft if anything it just got rid of the few excess imperfections to I would say go for it! Also I’m noticing it does make the primer smoother and gets rid of excess in certain areas still testing this theory though will update this post upon gathering more detail!
