Add in a wave serpent for the wraithguards and you're good to go. The warlock/farseer skyrunner kit would be a good second
hq choice. That should keep you busy until the new codex comes out and you can make your decisions about what to get next.
I’ll agree with this.
Dire Avengers seem solid, and are a better kit then the other two troop picks.
Jetseers are good. You can’t be hiding in a box if you want to cast powers, and mobility is very nice. Especially with 9th character targeting rules. Sometimes you need to be someplace safe that’s WAY over there.
Wave Serpents have been solid if not overpowered since they were introduced. While what’s hot and what’s not in the Eldar Codex shifts as quickly as the mercurial elves themselves, the
WS endures. What unit to stuff in side might change, but something needs the small arms kept off while it zips across the battlefield.
If you are starting, I’d look into magnets. It’s not too hard to do up the big guns, and being able to swap them is very nice.
Where to go depends a lot out of what you are looking for in an army. I’d add some bikes to the list, but that might be a lot of my personal bias coming through. But the
SC box is a little light on mobility, and they help bring that. I’d also avoid anything finecast, but that really limits your options.
