Obviously a lot of your stuff is not in a transport here -- but I am betting that the enemy will expect to have a very easy time stripping you of characters (and he will, its gaurd) but he won't have an easy time getting primaries away from you. 10 crusaders even unbuffed is still 3++ invuln and a ministerium priest kicks them into 3 ps swings each. 5 orders for 9 catachans +2 attacks each, fair, and the 2 ogryn bodygaurd are there to keep the ministerium priest up and -1 to be hit astropath up as long as need be. Lambda lions are there cause, well, they don't suck with 5++ shields, either, and even though this list struggles with antiarmor, 2 manticore tank ace doesn't exactly suck. I see this as being designed to drop 10 crusaders plus an unholy pile of gaurdsmen on 3 objectives, to try to both obsec and outcount the enemy, while being hard to push off.

Why yarrick? Why NOT yarrick? Every crusader and every catachan boy near him gets a reroll of 1 to punch with, without an order. Very powerful, and he keeps plasma safe if you are doing other things like "fix bayonets" in your order phase.

I like Crusaders, mostly because of the models I use (not GW models). I’m not sure 30 of them is the best use of points though, especially since the big price hike in 9th edition.

Your Ogryn Bodyguards don’t really need Bullgryn plate, mainly because of the way the Bodyguard rule works. Not a big deal either way.

I wouldn’t give my Sergeants a power sword and plasma pistol. It’s a lot of points for little benefit.

Overall I like the list, though personally I would maybe take a few things out and replace them with a squad of Bullgryns.

A big worry of mine is mortal wounds spam hitting crusader squad when I need, not want, but need, to hold.
You are quite right that bullygrn survive that better -- but that's why 10 man size was my pick.

Also, I MAY have been incorrect to make them bullgryn plate, I think brings them down to a 4+ save and the shield then is a 4++ shield, so you are right, wasted points. I usually use only one and he has traditionally (not the astropath) had the deathmasque on him and a 2+/4++ combination makes him near unstoppable, and I think I had that in the back of my head when I was thinking about the models I have painted. (He is resplendidly co vered in the ichor of tyranid troops he beat to death with his shield. They should SO let him had an attack option with that shield.)

This isn't really a list about killy killy, but its more about take and hold objectives in 9th. Bullygrn pound for pound are probably more killy, true.
