does anyone have any tips or vids for painting bottles? I want to have a few green and brown glass bottles lying around one of my set pieces, and I can't find any tutorials I like for the design.

Thanks in advance!

From the tutorials I read, it depends on how detailed you want it, as well as if there's any fluid or anything in it. if the bottle is transparent or opaque, and if the bottle is freestanding vs. embedded (because of a light source).

For advanced tabletop, I painted the glass dark brown or dark green, then held it up to a light source. Wherever the light hits it, paint a lighter color. Then paint over it with a Tamiya Clear.

I would imagine it is similar to gems. found this

The only thing I did for my bottles is coat of Matt varnish to protect the paint, and nail polish lacquer, but it is hard to apply and smells awful, I am sure there are better glossy products out there.
