First 9th ed. game.

Fairly evenly matched, with the Tyranid force being comprised of larger, tougher and better armed units rather than just hordes.

Decent battle with a good mix of ranged shooting and close melee combat. I hit first with a jump-pack assault squad and then with a rhino-transported assault squad. They did well, especially the sergeants with their respective Thunder Hammer and Eviscerator, but they were cut down ultimately.

The Tyranids took out my Land Speeder early on, but moved slowly and only really started inflicting serious casualties near the end.

The Baal Predator got some decent shots off, before being destroyed by the Tyranids' larger units - which in turn fell foul to my Hellblasters.

The two squads of Primaris (5 x Hellblasters and 5 x Intercessors) really proved their mettle against this Tyranid army.

In the end, the Tyranids won, but it was nice to play again (after so many months) and it was bloody close!
