So I'm considering bringing SoS as a cheap unit to hold or grab objectives and maybe mess with psykers. But I am unsure what is the best way to add them.
If i understand it correctly I can just bring squads of say prosecutors for 60 pts as an elite choice. This will not cost me anything CP wise. I can also bring them as a vanguard detachment which requires me to bring at least 3 units? and i dont need to have an HQ for the detachment? And this costs 0 CP? Bringing them in a Combat Patrol is probably not possible with the 2 elites limit. What are your recommendations?

They are not good at holding objectives, but they are good at forming mini kill teams for weird boys, librarians, chaos psykers, etc. They are good meat screens for the cost, but they cannot hold objectives well. Maybe when the new codex drops we will get to call them Custodes infantry, but in the meanwhile, they are good screens or psyker hunters, but then again, Allarus and Aquillon do that better for the cost.
