I was just reading the community article about new Chapter Tactics. One you can choose for your custom chapter is Bolter Fusillades. It reads:

Each time a model with this tactic makes a ranged attack with a bolt weapon, re-roll a hit roll of 1.

Since it is per model and "a hit roll" rather than "all hit rolls" does that mean you would need to roll all of your squad's attacks separately by model(similar to the practice now when firing with a squad of plasma weapons) so that you don't re-roll any extra 1s?

No, because eg a RG1 bolted firing at half range makes 2 attack rolls.

How do you mean OP? The model can re-roll a hit roll of 1 each time it makes a ranged attack with a bolt weapon.

Attacks happen 1 at a time, so if you have a bolt weapon with 2 attacks you roll a die, if it is a 1 re-roll it, and continue the shooting sequence for that attack. Then you roll fo rthe second attack and you roll a die, if it is a 1 re-roll it, and continue the shooting sequence for that attack.

Basically you can re-roll all 1's when shooting with bolt weapons if the unit has that particular Chapter Tactics.

From the SM FAQ

Q. A lot of rules apply an effect when resolving an attack, rather
than attacks. Does this mean the ability only applies for one single
attack? For example, the Masterful Marksmanship Stratagem
states ‘Until the end of the phase, when resolving an attack made
with a special issue boltgun by a model in that unit, add 1 to the
wound roll.’
A: The attack sequence in the core rules is based on attacks being
made one at a time. Therefore the wording of these abilities matches
how attacks are resolved in the core rules. The ability would still
apply to other attacks made by that unit, so long as it satisfied the
requirements laid out in the rule. In the above example, the ability
would apply for each attack you make with a special issue boltgun
by a model in that unit until the end of the phase.

The rules are still the same, it applies to each individual attack you make.

Got it. Thank you! For some reason I had it in my head that each model made all of their attacks at once, and the "speed rolling" was just rolling all the attacks for a unit at once. Thanks again for the clarification.
