I am just wondeirng if my GSC where to ally in some IG as brood brothers it would mostly be to get some aircrafts I think.

What aircrafts (or aircraft transports?) are actually good in IG and woulf function in a GSC list? I have tryed to read myself up on it, but the articles bog down once I reach FW and I do not know what anything is.

In 6th dition there was a 3 lascannon airplane that was undercosted. And a plain that had 20 S5 shots that hit on 2+ with re-rolls. Are those stil around and good?

I was thinking of any of these. Are they considered good?

They are all good, as they now can fire those guns on the move without penalty due to nine ed's big guns never tire.
As pure gunships, they are decent but not overwhelmingly so, compared to ground force guns. As gunships who also transport, they are a concentration of your force's value in a single target that may move it to the top of your enemy's priority firing pattern, which can leave you minus one vendetta and with your alpha strike troops sitting exposed near a smoking crater --- WAY in the back.
Keeping the total price per wound of flyer low is a good goal to not ignore with them, so if you want to plop out a bunch of meltas from a flyer, use a valkyrie (a cheap one works best) and if you want a gunship that also just drops out 50 points of obsec, the vendetta is about as good -- more raw firepower.

When I see what happened to the necron and sm fliers in the new dexes, I wouldn't buy any aircraft for any faction right now. GW apparently now prices them all at a premium and they are not really effective right now
