Seems like most people are on the same page for dice rolling. I'm no different.
Roll in the open,
Declare what is being rolled for and applicable modifiers,
Pick up failures and allow my opponent to acknowledge the result before moving on.
For the dice themselves...
They need to be perfectly consistent in design. Meaning... All the same size. All pips or all numbers. Symbols need to be all 6's or all 1's.
I don't mind if the dice are different colors, but the pips or numbers must all be the same color. This is simply an aspect of visibility.
Speaking of visibility, I find that light glare can sometimes make dice with a polished surface and pips difficult to read.
My personal preference for dice is 12mm in size, matte finish with numbers.
