Raise the Black will bring the Blood & Plunder universe to the 18th century and will include all new plastic kits and ships that will be fully customizable. The starter kit will be centered around the infamous encounter of Blackbeard Vs. Maynard. Everything needed to play will be included in the player 2 starter set, 2 forces , 2 legendary captains , dice, tokens, activation deck, movement templates, 2 sided player mat and more ! Plastic pirates and a plastic sloop? Count me in!

I've been intrigued by this game for ages, but it's always been a bit too expensive (the resin ships aren't cheap!) - though ironically, I often saw units in the discount bin... But never the ones I wanted!!

But making their minis in HIPS is an auto-buy for me. I can see using the ships for RPGs, and other table top wargames too

I play...

Sigh.

I know it takes a lot of skill and dedication, but I know a few people who managed to scratch build their own ships for B&P and they're pretty damn great, although buying the stock one is a much simpler task.
