Can someone let me know the difference between the two types of rulebooks?

the Hardback includes rules, army lists, full fluff and nice pictures

Gamers Edition is just the rules and army lists

the one is meant to be carried around with just the necessary stuff you need to play

the other stays at home for diving into the world and browse thru the pages

Harry, bring this ring to Narnia or the Sith will take the Enterprise

Thanks!
Are there any rules, scenarios, etc that are in the hard but not the soft?

I'm not particularly in need of Mantic fluff for my fantasy battles (assuming I can find the time to play one now) but I've enjoyed playing the last 2 editions.

not that I am aware of

and I have to say I really enjoyed the Mantic Fluff in the new book
it is well written with good artwork and a different approach to a "classic" setting

it is not that you need it or use it but in my opinion still worth reading it
