I may be just repeating a few points brought up in the tactics thread, but I'd recommend expanding the 5 man acolyte squad - I've found hand flamers need at least 10 man squads to reliably kill off a GEQ squad. You could drop the Brood Brother squad to free up a few points - I think you have enough troops!

Also, have you considered using the Creed's Psyche stratagem? Allows you Magus to cast another power a turn, and gives him a +1 to cast while within 3" of a friendly [CULT] psyker - which works for the Patriarch even though he doesn't benefit from the cult creed (as he still has the keyword).

Combined with the Crouching, your Magus knows Smite + 3 powers, can ordinarily cast 2 + an additional 1 once per game because of the familiar, and he gets +2 to cast as long as he's within 3" of the patriarch. I'd always give him Mass Hypnosis and Might from Beyond to make sure I'm getting those powers off.

Cheers mate.

In the list I have spent 1 CP on broodcover and on the creed's psyche.

I did make one change. I droped the acolytes, nexos and locus to get 2 groups of 5 handflamer hybrids. Hopefully 10 handlfamers should do better then 5.

I have no idea how it will go. I would love to have one more group of BB with lascannon so I have something more on the table T1. But I can not justefy removing anything to get them.

If I wanted to I could shave 2 familiars, and 2 more shotguns to get an aditional BB squad. But I have a hard time justefying it.

Best of luck with this - do let us know how you get on!

Another thought: a melee sanctus might be quite good in this list, because you don't have that many units that need A Perfect Ambush to get in - and he can use it for free. He gets 5 attacks, hitting and wounding on 2+ with Ap-2 and D2. Really good for annihilating characters or primaris marines. Combined with your Kelermorph and you really have the potential to take out some key characters!

Yeah I have considered him as one of the elite slots. It certanly is a contended. I am probably biased by my regular opponent who is an Ork. He brings a warboss in a transport and the psyker. I will rarly get a chance at getting to any of these characters in due time. There are very few good targets for the melee assassin in orks.

Note that if I need to delete something I can do a perfect ambush with lying in wait on the shotguns. That is 80 shots a turn. 40 witch can have a kellemorph backup. If I wanne go ham vs 30 ork boys I can also do the grenade stratagem to trade 20 shotgun shots for 60 S3 grenades. (I am unsure of the wording, but I suspect I can do all 3 stratagems in the movement phase. And then if I want to do more grenades I can do that later on.)

And one of the a perfect ambush needs to be used on the saw acolytes. So really no good timing for the sanctus. If I met MC who are psykers like daemons or nids the sniper sanctus is great. And in 8th edition he was great. Killed the weird boy in my opponent movement phase. :-)
