The estimation I had for it wasn’t really off, it looks like it’s 6” square with the feet out.

This isn’t pose-able/optional, they just add size you don’t really see in the photo.

I’m actually really impressed with it. It looks nice, it goes together nice,

I didn’t bother to magnetize the heavy flamers/bolters, but it seems like it would be incredibly easy during assembly. The wall sections I had even had a little dimple that looked to be in the right place to start the pin drill. Probably not on purpose.

I only have exceptional minor gripes about the eagle decorative bits on the missile launcher, and the electronic eye/targeter bit on the turret. They didn’t have any sort of centering/mounting guide. Like I said it’s very minor.

Well and I’m still going to laugh at GW for not making the orbital drop bunker not deep strike.

My WHFB armies were Bretonians and Tomb Kings.

Glad you like it! I think its a pretty cool model too, despite as you say the rules being a bit .....unexpected...

Also, did you guys not pre order enough techmarines and bunkers? The website doesn’t seem to be updating.

The Primaris Techmarine is also well done.
You get a helmet and open face option,
you can do pistol drawn or holstered,
The holster can also be slung a little low if you’re doing a gunslinger look.
The mechanical hentai tentacle feels a bit flimsy, but may do better when the glue dries.

I'm thinking about putting felt pads on the "feet" of the bunker. I've got one assembled sitting on my desk/painting station and the thing wants to ice skate like Nancy Kerrigan being chased by Tonya Harding. The smallest bump sends it spinning off. If your table has flock that might work, if it's painted sand or those cardboard inserts from kill team etc, probably not. Bear in mind.

Depending on how much you want to "play" with your bunker vs drop it down and leave it be (i.e. stuff like swiveling/tilting the missile launcher up top)

if you glue the launcher right, you can still tilt,
if you glue it so it won't tilt some angles won't spin The legs/corners/feet stick up too high.

Are the gun emplacement facings flat backed? I was thinking of making a rocky cliff face with these at the base, along with other fortress bits for a base assault.

I mean technically don't they airdrop Aegis Defense Lines too?

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

Yes and no - there's no odd bits sticking out the back, but the back of the angled section at the top goes back further than the back of the vertical section. Eyeballing it, I'd say the max difference is 7-8mm from the very top edge to the vertical sides.

mostly flat backed. You could easily green stuff them into a cliff side. There’s a very minor angle to line up with the legs.
