So, new box for SW. What is in it?
As far as I can see in it is the sneaky dreadnough. The leader, primaris with axe from the vigulus box. What are the units? Hounds of morkai, the new unit? 5 of those? What are the remaining 10?
I can not tell primarises apart.

it's honestly a solid starter box, (although non SW players might find the death watch box better) the real test will be how good the new Hounds of Morkai are. I suspect they're going to swap out terror troops for some kind of anti-psyker ability. the ability will reaaaaaaally be what sets them apart. if it;'s just reivers with a penalty to be hit with psykic powers they'll be garbage, if they say have a anti psyker aura they could be a popular choice for wolves, toss carbines on em and use them to protect your army

Agreed, its gonna really depend on how bonkers this new unit is... I am expecting SOS style psych out grenades. Automatically Appended Next Post: oh, and maybe a specific strat or bonus against thousand sons because sometimes the asymmetry in balance is real XD.

As an aside, as "infinite" rolls is actually impossible even if the FAQ "allows" it, then it will always be a non-zero chance to pass them all. Eventually the two players will die. If they pass the game on to their decendents, they too will eventually die. And, at the end of it all, the universe will experience heat death and it, too, will die. In the instance of "infinite" hits, we're talking more of functional infinity, rather than literal.
RAW you can't pass the game onto descendants, permissive ruleset. Unless we get an FAQ from GW. |

we had an anti-1Kson strat in our last codex, it was largely unremarked upon because it was really not that useful unless you where charging magnus with something.

looks like 10 intercessors, an invictor warsuit, and 5 reivers.
Seems like a good deal. I might pick one up just to build the hounds of morkai, and a 3rd warsuit seems fine.

I'm a little unimpressed that the Space Wolf box doesn't have any actual Space Wolf specific stuff in it, it's all generic Space Marine models...

It contains slightly different Wolve-y Reivers.
Maybe thats what GW pretends, it doesn't look like GW wants to be re-releasing chapter specific units, but "reskins" with different rules of already existing models. With the bloat of units SM codex + supplements has, it's not that weird that the company wants to "homogenize" the faction a bit.

I'm pretty sure that back in the day a lot of SW units where just "yeah the rules are differant" then SW players went out, bought a opack of tac marines and converted em into grey hunters. so we';re basicly returning to those times. I imagine eventually we'll get actual SW kits of these things (eventually being "maybe in ten+ years")
