Been toying around lists around SM strats while we wait for our own supplement. After some testing the new DC etc, I feel them a bit of a lack luster.. Van vets.. quite nice, but compared to SG they just don't perform as well. The following list obliterated my friends death guard.

I had my reiver lieutenant in the impulsor with the blade vets, giving me a mobile deny objective unit. Lt's 9" obsec for all core and 6" remove obsec from the enemy was huge in the game, won't caught him off guard the next time, but still giving obsec to SG, redemptors and blade vets can be handy. Sanguinary priest as chief apothecary and 12" move was also really nice. Didn't really miss captain rerolls or Sanguinor. Maybe a psyker could be a decent option. Also maybe second warlord trait for the lt, to give him Lord of Deceit to redeploy incursors might be in place in more all around list approach. I would drop the power fists and the volkite pistol, but went full wysiwyg this time.. no idea what to do with that 25 excess points though..

What do you think, could this perform also in your meta?

I guess it could perform in my meta.

I mostly browsed through to see what other SM are doing for their troop choises. I see a minimum squad to focus on other things was the way to go.

I really like the sanguary guard. With the rest of the list moving fast I am unsure about the bladeguard veterans.

How are your dreadnought loadouts? Plasma cannon to kill eradicators?

I've run both variants with my redemptors, at this point I feel like plasma is the way to go.

I'm playing against heavily tailored DG tonight and in the morning I'll be facing chaos knights (2 rampagers, 4x moirax and some dual gatlings).

Blade vets are for screening my redemptors and LT in the middle of the board to buy them one more round of shooting/counter-attack, atleast on paper.

for these two games I actually dropped my impulsor for librarian dreadnought to give reroll 1's aura for shooting and juggled the power fists and the volkite pistol to make a 10man SG blob with only swords to free up points for the lib dread. had to swap one incursors squad as assault intercessors too, because don't know the exact point cost for chief apothecary upgrade..

If someone interested I can tell you how the games went & what I was up against..

Some more games under the belt.

I like how the list holds objectives and from T3 onwards the melee output goes up to 11.

Scored 81-37 against chaos knights with 2 rampagers, despoiler and 4x moirax. Would have scored around 90 if had juggled my units on objectives better to be wholly within certain board edge rather than holding an objective spreaded on two table quarters. Dunno how I make enough big mental note for myself to not fail to do this with engage on all fronts. SG T3 onwards are just crazy.. 10 SG did 56 damage on a moirax in melee. would have sank a big knight too. Have to say that knights are in a rough spot, a redemptor is more durable against 2w weaponry than a big knight. My blade vets have been a true menace, resurrection via priest don't mind either.

Also a MvP style combo was to give 5++ bubble with psychic fortress, 6+++ from the sanguinary priest and 1cp transhuman on top of that. My 3man eradicators lost only one model on the rampager's charge with teeth of hunger relic sword.

I move a central board control blob asap in the middle. I've mostly used my CP for transhuman, wisdom of the ancient or reroll all hits strats. So CP go mostly into shooty stuff..

Against DG I had more close game losing more models than my opponent, but scored around 15p more. Those pesky MBH's are really good.

One thing I'm constantly struggling with my list is which unit(s) I leave on bsckfield objectives. Now I've used a assault intercessor squad, but they don't contribute anything else.. So I want to look into this matter more.

With the experience I've gained I've adjusted the list a bit more. I still don't feel like I miss the impulsor. Blade vets can advance T1 along with the two redemptors and librarian dreadnought. Also I really like null zone even that my 2nd psychic power isn't in synergy with it.
