Hello, i'm starting a new necron army, based on the indomitus boxed set. I decided to go for sautekh, as my list is built with good synergy. I'd like to hear your opinion about this.

Sautekh patrol
-hq- overlord (warscythe, resurrection orb) 130 Warlord: hyperlogical strategist, relic: orb of eternity
-hq- chronomancer 80
-hq- chronomancer 80
-troop- Warriors (20, gauss flayers) 260
-troop- Warriors (20, gauss flayers) 260
-elite- triarch stalker (twin heavy gauss cannon) 150
-elite- lychguard (10, sword and shield) 280
-fast- scarabs (6) 90
-fast- scarabs (6) 90
-heavy- doomsday ark 190
-heavy- doomsday ark 190
-fly- doomscythe 200

Total 2000 / 12cp (-1 for phareon upgrade)

Looks pretty good.

I don't think Sautekh is the right dynasty choice. I'd go Nikilakh or custom to load up on ObSec.

My main concern is your list is slow. The 6" pre-move custom trait could really help.

Thanks. Yes, the custom dynasty could be good, but here's why I decided for sautekh;
- hyperlogical strategist trait gives more command points
- sautekh stratagem makes DDAs and Flyer hit on 2+ (with re-rolling ones from stalker). This is important against knights.
- re-rolling morale can be good with bigger units
- double-tapping rapid-fire at 18". There's the +6".
- the main concern is to control the mid-board, the moving gunline does not want to be in danger-close.

The list is solid thanks for teaching me orb and relic orb! Do you think wraiths can do the job of the lychguard better because of their speed?

Cheers. The wraiths are a good option, and first I thought about including them (a unit of six). Their speed is awesome, but in my list that gets me nowhere; they're not killy/tanky enough on their own. And the lychguard are core, and can utilise stratagem for +1A. The lychguard are only to pose a counter melee, not going heavy on Fight phase.

What secondaries are you taking? What units are going to get the objectives for you?

My secondaries; 'engage on all fronts', 'while we stand we fight' (flyer and DDAs), and 'purge the vermin' (necron one). The flyer should be able to score the 'engage' for atleast 2pts per turn. The 'while we stand we fight' is a risky objective, but might keep the Warriors alive while opponent shoots vehicles.

All of the chapter approved missions have 1-2 objectives at own deployment zone (which scarabs can hold), and couple of objectives at flanks (which Warriors can hold).
