Haven't posted in a while, so I thought I'd throw this guy out for opinions. I've been trying to use my airbrush for more than just priming, so some C&C on the black armour would be appreciated in particular. The base has seen an attempt at rust weathering and pigments - are they looking realistic to people? I appreciate it's quite a dark model, so not all detaisl will be that obvious. All comments welcome however, compliments or criticisms .
Reeeeeally nice work here! I'm a big fan of the head swap.
I love that black as well, nice smooth matte finish - I have to ask, is the black highlighted at all? If it is, it's so subtle I can't tell, but I'm thinking it looks a lot better than just flat black would.

Thanks Super Ready - much appreciated! The head is from Zinge Industries if I recall correctly and you're inspired to do something with one. The black is highlighted. It was a base of 80:20 Abaddon Black : Vallejo German Grey, then maybe 3 more passes adding in more GG and some Administratum Grey, and some subtle edge highlights of the same, but lighter, mix in places. It's just unfortunate that my lighting hasn't really picked it up as well as I hoped - because I'm anxious to do 'better' black.
