The meta hasn't been swayed for a long time.

Remember how at the first months of Kill Team the Death Guard was considered the strongest meta faction? It seemed like an imbalanced faction, but now it sounds just ridiculous, haha.

This quickly changed with the arrival of an 'imperial plasma shower' meta (remember the first Nova Open winner?).

Then there were the Tyranid spam meta, and then, if I'm not mistaken, the Asuryani and Necrons dominated.

Now it's popular to bring the box full of Drukhari to the tournament table, while Necrons and Asuryani are still considered very strong factions.

The meta's pendulum swings less and less.

The reason is simple: all the combinations seem to have been already collected and played, but nothing new comes out as GW are busy with promoting the 9th edition and card games.

It would be so great to update the game as much as the Warhammer was updated with the release of the 9th edition, so that the whole balance shuddered, became better and ... more diverse?

But we already have everything we need! About 2 years ago, GW released the excellent Commanders expansion, but did not spend the budget on testing it and therefore did not take responsibility to say that it was a competitive. And in this way, they themselves took away from their game most of its depth, balance and variety.

It's as if Apple allowed iPhone users to take photos, but they were forbidden to send or post them anywhere, lol.

Fortunately, there is a group of enthusiasts who realized that the problem exists not in the Commanders expansion, but only in the rules of the match, of victory points scoring and secondary objectives.

2 years of testing, two dozen tournaments, hundreds of hours of analysis and discussion, using the best experience from big tournaments like LVO. And many, just a huge number of games played. Thanks to all this, we were able to create a set of rules for the balanced play of the 200 points format.

Let me present you the Commanders International rules pack!
http://commandersinternational.tilda.ws/

We just use the tools that GW gave us! We don't change any core rules, costs or characteristics of models. Only matchplay rules to make the game vibrant and balanced.

It feels like it’s as if the GW issued the rules, thanks to which the number of available models in the game increased by 1.5 times, and the number of combinations and options by 10!

You can use Commanders International set of rules in your tournaments or just home games.

By the way, the battlescribe has all the commander options for a long time already.

Does kill team have unit progression after matches like necromunda?

Yes there are rules for progression in campaigns, models can gain XP and level up, be out of action for a couple of matches, or be killed out right. However the rules are far less in-depth/involved compared to Necromunda, but they are enough for what it is.

The commanders pack looks great, hopefully more people will play commanders and we'll have a new lease of life for the game.

Also just spotted Glass Half Dead has done a video on the pack as well, nice https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLrxZXvYYxo
