Warhammer Community will be running a monthly "Mission report" article for Kill Team, starting with a look at all things Sororitas...

https://www.warhammer-community.com/2020/11/05/kill-team-mission-report-adepta-sororitas/

...along with the recent teaser trailer for Necron Flayers, I'd say Kill Team is about to bounce back very soon.

I hope you are correct. Kill Team was the only GW game I was playing before COVID-19, and I was very enthused about it. (Honestly, if I was using my time better, I could finish my Deathwatch and AdMech teams, and actually paint the Gellerpox and Starstriders. I want to start Thousand Sons and SoB too, but until I actually finish the other KTs, I'm not letting myself buy more. However, playing computer games is easier than painting.)

I'm sure GW wants to make sure KT players aren't neglecting their 9th edition Necron'n'Marine purchases.

Considering how poorly Primaris reivers perform in the close combat role, the rules for Assault Intercessors and Bladeguard Veterans are needed for marine players. Don't know if Deathwatch will be able to take them, but I wouldn't mind that option being granted.

About an 11 month old resource. How exciting.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

Indeed, it is basically an advert for the 2019 Annual. Kind of silly when KT players have had little else to purchase since January...

On the other hand there seems to be a hint here in that they are looking at the Sisters of Battle. It feels reminiscent of the build up to 9th edition where the Sisters were the focus for a bit, and likewise we know they are going to do something with the Necrons'n'Marines in early 2021.

A new "expansion" is on its way...

Repackaging Indomitus miniatures, meh

I hope the book will be available separately as an epub.

The expansion might have some of that new AdMech building ruins stuff in it. Which might make it an OK deal as far as minis contents go.. but its the new rules/datasheets I'm looking forward to the most!

They are encouraging us to purchase the necron warriors and assault intercessors before the "expansion" is released, so it could be just a new book like Elites or the 2019 annual.

I'd actually prefer that! I got minis and terrain up the wazoo already

Probably no epub. GW said for normal 40k that they aren't doing those anymore. They want you to buy the physical book and scan a code into the app.

They seem to be doing epubs for other specialist games such as Titanicus, Necromunda and Aeronautica. Crucibal of Retribution was released recently, for example.

That's good news then!

But they didn't do epubs for the Warcry books.

Seeing three Warcry epub books on the site. Do you mean the latest alliance books?

Alliance books or Tome of Champions 2020.

Or Catacombs.

Good point about Champs'20 but wouldn't Catacombs be locked into the boxset considering the boards and dungeons pieces? Doesn't even have a separate release in physical form? Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place...

But anyway, I see what you mean.

Blood Bowl 2020 rulebook made it onto the Apple Books App Store. The Adepticus Titanicus rules expansions are also, but not the main rulebook, for example. I am not sure GW even has a coherent plan for digital releases.

So it's planned for release in march.. means that the multipart Hvy Interecessors and flayed ones kits will be out by october at the latest, probably sooner.

But WTH is a "Hammer of Wrath" section in the fight phase? Seems like the core rules will get some tweaks, this sounds like "ready" equivalent for models engaged in CC?

I have to say, the more I see those boards, the fuglier they look

Basically units that charged in the movement phase get to resolve their attacks first in the "fight" phase.

Ahh ok so this ability just makes a model act as if it charged, for the purposes of establishing fighting order only. So not a new rule as such, got it.

Looks like the new Kill Team expansion will be coming to preorder on 27th of February.

I reckon these might sell out during the preorder wave so place your orders in early unless you mind waiting for the second wave..?

Considering how shoddy UK shipping has become since Brexit, your best bet is probably to order a store pickup as the delivery option. Heard some rumours that shipments from GW to their local stores is more hasslefree and therefore might arrive faster than shipping to a private address.

Was looking forward to Pariah Nexus but if the price leaks are correct then its too expensive for what it is.

At the moment I'm only interested in the models from the Recruit edition so a trip to Wahapedia will have to suffice. There is also the Kill Zones expansion on the way too, so hopefully that will bear fruit.

Its not quite the return to Kill Team we were hoping for but its just nice to be catered to after such a long abscence.
