modified post -- I completely changed my list after reading reviews online.

Here’s my first 1K.

Scarecrows Regiment with Healing Brew
scarecrows Regiment Horde w/ Screamshard

Spectre Troop

Butcher Horde with Brew of Haste

Reaper Regiment with Staying Stone

Mind-Screach
Portal of Despair

I've yet to play as Nightstalkers, having only played against them. Doppelgangers were a very effective unit.

As for the Staying Stone; was that re-released in the Halpi's Rift expansion? I can't find it in the 3rd ed rulebook or 3rd ed. Uncharted Empires. If it works as it used to, it is a no-brainer. Any boost to a Waver value is good. It could only be better if there was an item to make an unit Fearless. (Probably too good ...)

oh strange...It was on easy-army KoW (the staying stone). I had better check right now to make sure it is legal for just standard 3rd edition games...
