Curious who ya'll think are the best mechanized infantry armies right now? Scions in taurox? Harlequins in star weavers? Orks in trucks? Not limited to those options. Curious your thoughts.

It's definitely gonna be the Harlequins in Starweaver. Fast, 4++, -1 to hit make the clown cars extremely hard to deal. You think you can drown them in high volume low strength shot? You are wrong, they have Shadow seers to give them a bubble of -1 to wound and -6" to your range weapons. So you are hitting on 4s, wounding on 6s, and have to move into 18" or 12" to be even able to shot. That's almost unkillable with a reasonable values of attacks.
When they get into your face T1, which is easy for them given their 22" move advance, you will eat 30+ melta shot plus around 18 S6 shrukin shots. Which is gonna to wipe 600pts worth of army. How can that not become top?

Man I miss the old dark eldar nightshields who reduced enemy range by 6. I might remember the name wrong though.
Current best armies are orks, harlequeens and marines. But if you want dudes in cars I think Space Marine leaves the discussion left to harleqins and orks. Mind you there are many ways to play orks. I do not know harlequeens that well.

Orks are good. Trukks, BW/Bonebrekas, Dreads, Mek Gunz, Nauts, a couple of Planes and at least 3 different types of buggies can all be part of a solid mechanized army.
Sisters are good too. Mortifiers are awesome, Exorcists quite competitive and Rhinos works perfectly. Immolators are just a bit expensive but they're not garbage either.
Both armies using these archetypes, even with a significant number of infantries, have most of the points invested in the mechanized models though. They're not really based on infantries on transports.

Orks are good at mechanised but not quite so good at mechanised infantry.
We have 3 transports (with variants) at the moment. Trukks, Battlewagons, and Big Trakks.
I'm not counting Gorkamorkanaughts as they only carry 6 and it's more of a token than mech infantry.
Trukks can take boys - which suck in small numbers - and Nobs - which aren't great - or Meganobs - which are pretty decent but expensive, and it can only carry 6. They are reasonably good at carrying shooting units, particularly tankbustas which can move & shoot with assault guns. The tankbusta + transport is also a great way to screw with opponents who claim units can't use their own rules in a transport - my tankbustas can't reroll? fair enough ,but my bomm squigs can't die after firing either! Win win, baby!
Battlewagons are reasonable if stuffed with shoota boys or any other shooting unit. They can also make decent assault carriers if given 'ard case, which makes them much more survivable. Bonebreakers are as meh as trukks for assault carrying, and closed topped so no shooting out - only really good for meganobs. Gunwagons suck for both as they have to move slowly and no-one can shoot out. If I have grots and a gunwagon I put them together, purely to keep the grots alive for a couple of turns.
Big trakks used to be aweome, being faster and 'arder than trukks. Haven't used them yet with the new rules, so can't really comment.
If you want to run mech (buggies etc) orks are great. Mech infantry, less so.
