Finally got around to painting some of the new shiny marine infantry.

Very nice to work on - justifies my decision to sell all my unbuilt mini-marines - it would be hard to go back to the old stuff.

Very nice, subtle shades and nice highlighting. Not a fan of the green rims however.

Very crisp.

Not that im in a position to critique coz its mile better than anything i can do but they look almost too crisp. Maybe some battle damage would have made them pop a bit more.

They are still absolutely stunning man!

looking great, but the green rims take your eyes away from the mini, maybe black or dark brown it will be easyer on the eyes and will give it a meaner look

I don't dislike the green rims at all, but I seem to be in a minority.

The highlights are fantastic. I like that the look clean.

Thanks for the comments guys. I appreciate that the green bases are polarising, but I'm old school and green bases will always be 40K for me. Also, I'm not about to re-base 1000+ figures!

Hey Skinflint - yes, I've been slack at getting reports posted. On a positive note, the gaming has kept going and we are actually nearing the end of the campaign! (after what, 7 years?)
