It's a fun and fluffy list, but it just lacks...
something. The twenty-man blobs with a lord anchoring them are actually quite difficult to shift, but it severely limits the ability to grab and hold objectives. Also, I will say that my friend has developed quite the hatred for lascannon-toting Havocs!
Still, I figured my Iron Warriors army lacked enough
iron, so with some of the points drops in IAC I finally took the plunge on putting a leviathan in my list. I don't like the tanks available for
CSM currently (ineffective on the tabletop and severely dated kits that don't match the new models), so I opted for more Dreadnaughts. Since the
CSM squads are cut in half now and require less babysitting, the Exalted Champion has been dropped for a Warpsmith to instead babysit the Dreadnaughts, and I've opted to put my Chaos Lord in terminator armor instead, swapping out Cold and Bitter for Daemonsmith - the plan is to drop him and the Obliterators together, and maybe the terminators too, providing a threat at range and melee that my opponent won't be able to ignore.
