Gsc are low tier and relying on neophytes isn’t really a strategy I have been able to make work.

Yeah in a swam-type kill team having something that can fire into enemies that are within 1" of enemy models is pretty useful. People are also finding the
Ld: 9 stat to be pretty useful in a team that breaks easily.
I'm thinking of running four Acolyte fighters with cutters (useful as they skip the Injury roll phase) if you manage to damage your target and roll higher than the target's current Wounds, two Abberants, and 0-1 Genestealer. The idea is to have so many important targets that one should get into the enemy's gunline.
I dunno if it will work though.
