I just finished painting up the first batch of necrons from the indomitus box. I wanted to try a slightly different scheme and for them to have a weathered feel and had fun experimenting along the way. These models are really nice though and I enjoyed my first foray into painting necrons.

Nice, very post industrial* feel to that. They definitely have a feeling of coming back from deep storage...

*whatever the hell post industrial might mean, lol

Very nice weathering and I like the different colour scheme. The energy blades look good as well.

Nicely done!

I've seen some models where the amount of "noise" provided by the weathering overwhelms the figure. You've used just the right amount of weathering, and it's lovely.

Thanks! Agreed, I think the trick to weathering is to use multiple colors/approaches to build in small layers that add up to an overall feel. A little of each goes a long way to the whole piece together.

I have to say I do not think of Necrons like that. That being said, it is very well done. Excelent!
