Was flipping through eBay and came across this:
A very sad Rhino transport. All the parts are there. Just some are backwards or heavy misaligned. And the whole thing is topped in heavy glue and paint.
I realize that this was a dedicated transport for a bunch of blood crazed lunatics, hell bent on their own demise. But there's no excess for this poor level of vehicle maintenance.
I contacted the owner, and was able to arrange transport to my shop. Cost $18 including title and shipping. Once it was in the shop I decided to do a tear down and inventory.
Like I said before, everything was there. And with a little persuading I was able to pop the chassis and even the badly misaligned hatches. They even managed to kludge an older model push bumper.
Time to head this project to visit the Dip. I use 90% isopropyl.

Well here she is after a thorough strip, tear down and rebuild.
Just kidding. I was originally looking for a cheap project vehicle for something I had in mind. But I came across this and just had to buy. I low balled it and was the only bidder at $15.50 with free shipping. The two front ports aren't glued in, which is nice. I'll see if I can unseal the main doors on top for possible conversion.

Well there was some miscommunication at the shop. The fuel cells were supposed to be drained after going to the dip. These were still full when the vehicle was coupled to the charge plate. Well there was a slight mishap.
Here's the end result.
Most off the damage is in the left rear quarter. If I can find a doner rear piller. And splice in some sheet styrene, I'm sure can straighten the rest out.
After further assessment, it may be in the shop for a long while.
Insurance adjustor came by. They declared the vehicle a total loss. Such a shame.
I decided to part the vehicle out. Put it up on Craigslist, so far no bites.
