Hi all! I am hoping to find one of the few hundreds of people who built a Manta here.

As you can see in the attachement, I am having some difficulties fitting the wings. I have already removed alot of material in the attachement points, but the wing doesn't want to stay flat. Not sure I should/ can heat it to bend it since it's a structural part for the tray.

Looking for some guidance/ advices before I pull the scraper out and go ham. The other side is worse.

All the other gaps are cosmetic and will get filled up nicely, the actual model is square and sound.

Thanks guys, this is my first post btw !

I don't have a manta, but I have built large resin models. You need to drill some pins(brass rods, depending on the area, maybe an inch deep on both sides) to hold the weight, glue won't be enough. It also prevent future wings broken off and shatters on the floor after its painted!

you might have to shave off some of that wing. Trace the pattern of panel lines then get a panel scriber to add them back. Tamiya do a nice one.
Will it be openable or glued shut? If glued shut, you have the option of using a long threaded rod with bolts on the outside to square up the fuselage. Use the overhanging ends to act as pins in the wings. You'll have to carve out some of the wing holes so the nuts fit.
Also use an epoxy glue like 5-minute JB Weld & not superglue.

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!
