So I ordered the spanish inquisition miniatures from Victoria Miniatures and decided to build a list around them. Cardinal Ximenez will act as an Ordo Malleus psyker Inquisitor, while Cardinals Fang and Biggles will serve as missionaries. For entertainment, can put one with dudes in reserve with some forces for the inevitable punchline.



Taking Catachan to make the best use of the missionaries, a blob of 30 conscripts to wrap around the 2 tank commanders (punisher for horde, demolisher for nasties)/ 2 executioners. 2 astropaths to complement the inquisitor in buffing tanks or conscripts as needed. For plasma vet squads with autocannons for trimming marines. Vox casters to help keep commanders out of the way, and a couple of squads with flamers for burning anything out of cover the astropaths cant reach.

Downside is the CPs expended on the inquisitor and the 2nd detachment to give the tanks a bit more toughness. Would have to drop elites to fold it into the main detachment though.

Its ok cause I have some ideas to spend the points. Col. Straken would greatly aid this list in melee, and he is a 45 point upgrade for a company commander. So that leaves 62 points to spend, enouhg for a single ogryn bodygaurd, whom you can GARISHLY paint up as a monk in the same color scheme as the preists. "Brother Tiny" with his shillelagh of smiting?" Sign me up!
