If the Imperial Navy sometimes lends a few squadrons of Valkyries to the Imperial Guard, there's no reason why they wouldn't do the same for the Sisters of Battle. Or perhaps Sisters should even have their own Valkyries, with BS 3+ instead of 4+. The Ecclesiarchy is certainly powerful enough to have a contract with whatever forge world produces Valkyries.

Thematically, I think an aircraft named after warrior women would fit right in.

I'm not sure if that is just my headcanon or if I read it somewhere but I think the reason for Valkyries used for guard and not Battlesisters is that
1. they don't wear powerarmor so are lighter
2. I have so far not seen Sisters using gravchutes (some have Jetpacks and don't need them, others are footsluggers). Gravchuting out of a Valkyrie is one of their main selling points
3. While hurling squishy guardsmen in a 3+ vehicle adds a lot of survivability, it does not really do so for 3+ powerarmor dudettes
3. they are much less important => losing 12 Guardsmen to a shot down plane (and Valkyries get shot at a lot...) doesn't hurt as much as losing 12 Battlesisters

Taken together I think (personal opinion), Sisters tend to be better of on foot or in their own tanks even if ruleswise those are not more resilient than a Valkyrie. If they get a flyer transport I would expect something more sturdy to deliver them like a Drop-Pod or one of the heavy SM flyers.

Sisters did have flyer transports in previous editions - arvus lighters and aquila landers. Non-combat vehicles in keeping with the decree passive.

There were rules for an inquisitorial valkyrie back in the witch hunters days though.

@ A.T. in that case it was really just my headcanon. Apologies for that.
In the end: why not. If my oponent would ask if I had any objections of Sisters using a Valkyrie I wouldn't really mind.

Not entirely. They did have drop-pods in a chapter approved variant (via the inquisition), and while they haven't had any flyers of their own the avenger was available to them via the navy.

During 7th edition (IIRC) there was also a way to run an allied BA or SW force of empty drop pods which could be taken to bring out the old drop sisters list, though sisters weren't about much in 7th.

I feel the arsenal of the sisters is limited by the connection the Ministorum holds over other parts of the Imperium. Unlike the Imperial Navy and the Army, which are both official professional military forces, the Sororitas are, after all, considered militias. There is likely a form of formal and informal barrier between the sisterhood and the navy which the guards do not have to overcome. The use of Navy fighter jets can then be considered resources granted to the combat group via the authority of the inquisition (in the context of the Codex: Witch Hunters) and therefore not to the sororitas themselves.

Another take might be the Valkyries are just not designed to carry power armored personels. Be it space considerations or lift power limitations which would make it a lot more efficient in transporting light infantry like inquisitorial stormtroopers ("tempestus scions") or guardsmen. Of course, that is if you don't consider the air assault scene in Space Marine canon.

Honestly if the sisters get an air transport, I'd hope it's something unique to them, both to keep with the extravagant aesthetics of the other vehicles of the sisters, and to stay within the theme of technically still being a militia group.

That would be nice too. And it should have flamers, bolters and/or meltas, since Sisters of Battle love those.

Guncutters from the FFG games were described as thunderhawk-sized, heavily armed civilian landers. On the large size (model wise).

I'd like to see Sisters with a flyer and the name of that one certainly fits (Valkyrie). It'd be a missed opportunity to give them the standard kit though. You'd need either an upgrade sprue or a whole new kit. Otherwise you could give them their own flyer. Something along the lines of a Corvus Blackstar would be nice. No logical reason for that. I just really like the design of that model

Aesthetically the Dark Angel's Nephilium* would fit perfectly.
*Either that one or the other variant from the kit, I forget.

IF anything they should get access back to the avenger strike fighter. what an expensive paper weight iv had to shelve ever since they arbitrarily lost the keyword to field it.
