So, if I recall correctly, the Orks have three Lord of War choices at the moment. The stompa, the killtank and the gargantuan squiggoth. As well as a battlewagon and killkrusha in legends. I'm a little bored and I got curious which one is the best lord of war at the moment. Now, I'm no good at reading the game meta so I thought I would ask for your opinion.
Which one's the best? Which one is your favorite? Do you wish the battlewagon or killkrusha were not stuck in the legends index?

The kill tank and the kustom stompa from FW are probably the best options atm, though realistically the kill tank is better since you can take multiple in a 2000 point game so they can all benefit from a klan trait in the SHV detachment. You'll probably want two kill tanks with the gigashoota to handle and clear infantry, while you have one with the bursta kannon to handle heavier stuff like Eradicators and Bladeguard Vets.
The Kustom Stompa is only really good if you treat it purely as a ranged weapons platform since it's table for degrading only impacts its movement and CC ability. Take it with 2 of its lifta-droppa arms, make it evil sunz and try boosting it with Visions in the Smoke psychic power alongside Moar Dakka strat and it can almost guaranteed delete most units in one volley.
Personally, I like the Kill Tanks more since I dislike the all eggs in one basket approach with the Kustom Stompa and they are a great spearhead for an "armoured krumpany" Ork style list that hasn't existed since 7th edition.

Killtanks. There really isnt a comparison here, the stompa and gargsquig are mega overpriced atm Stompa has always been gak, GW seems to refuse to make that thing even remotely good. Gargsquig WAS at least playable last edition, but now its overpriced. They basically took its previous max-priced iteration, removed a ton of guns and its Charging ability now only hits 1 unit instead of everything, and...kept it the same freaking price. Killtank is technically not that great either since its a relatively large body in a meta that kinda loves to punish large body vehicles, but its just so bloody cheap for what it brings....275pts for the GigaShoota variant...3 of them isnt even half your list so you can easily bring a proper score-focused squad for the other half plus another heavy hitter (probably MANz). Burstakannon isnt worth it imo. +50pts for way less shots that unless he's hitting a high toughness target isnt technically better. Issue is...thats 3 forgeworld expensive models lol. Thats not an easy thing to swallow an expense for with most people.

I assume most people just scratchbuild/convert their own kill tanks for that exact reason. They are big chonky boys though, so I'm not sure what tank chassis would be an appropriate base to use for that.

Honestly if I was to make a Kill tank conversion I'd start buying historical models, first one using one of those Jagdpanzer E-100 kits, the one with the forward mounted cannon and swap that for a collection of auto cannon and other similar bits for the gigashoota, or maybe grab the Kromlech Cannon arm for their deff stompas and use that a basis for the kill bursta's gun alongside using the rotatory cannon part for the Giga Shoota, with some extra guns to add bulk.
It depends if you guy would like suggestions for a different base tank for each, I could find several from historical kits that are the right size in 1/35 scale.

Oh, don't you guys worry. I have a plan for that...

Personally I'd say start from a Sturmtiger for a Killtank. I do feel they took inspiration for them when designing the tank. Especially that big, thicc cannon.
But on the topic itself, I do see some promise in the Kill Tanks. But only if used as a mixed arms unit. The dakka on the Shoota variant only really has the shortcoming of the Dmg stat. But if you back it up with charges on those meaty treads I reckon you'd make it's points back in short order.
