I wouldn't bother with them, I'd use an app like administratum.net or crusade-manager.net.

Cool, thanks for the links

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe. |

Well, GW is still trying to sell a $40 paper Crusade journal, so it would pretty much shoot them in the foot.
I'm a real control freak when it comes to documentation; the pages from the BRB and Crusade Journal are sufficient for most players, but not nuts like me- I want the dates and names and grudges; I need to know who deserves a purity seal or a new skull on the base, and I want to be able to look back at my spread sheet to know who I was playing and when; I want to remember the deed represented by the seal or the skull.
Even if I found something premade, I very much doubt it would live up to my standards.

Its principles...I know I can make my own, download someone elses or use some website...
But why the f..... has GW not put them up for download when they are, according to their rules, essential for the gameplay.

1) Because they are trying to SELL you those sheets. It appears you've missed that bit.....
2) The sheets as presented by GW are not essential. (most of) The info they contain is though. But however you record that info, be it with GWs template, someone's xl sheet you download, my legal pad & cheap Bic pen/#2 pencil, or chiseling yourself some Egyptian Hieroglyphs? Irrelevant as long as it's accurate.

1: Yes I know they want to seel their useless crap journal, just as RPG companies often sell pads of character sheets, but they should put them up for download as well, as just about ever other company I can think of certainly would do.
2. The rulebook walks me through how to fill in the crusade card and OOB they supply, nothing about writing it down on any other form, so it could be considered essential. Of course it isnt, we all know that, but its still baffling they dont offer them up for free, and even more so that people are defending them about it... wtf...

Well this is GW. They do things differently. Learn to deal with it.

OK, so if you think their form is so essential? Well you've already paid for the form. Open your book & stick it on a copy machine/scanner-printer.
You'll note that they give you permission to make copies on the bottom of the page.
As for defending them? Why not on this one? Not all complaints against GW are valid. Some are just noises being made by angry grots.

Exactly THIS. GW expects you to photocopy the sheet from your rulebook. As a bonus, they also offer you a supplement with nicely printed copies of the same sheet, if you'd rather pay them to do it for you.
Are you really up in arms yelling "WTF GW!!!!111" about this? Cute

What on earth are you talking about? Photocopying character sheets has been a fairly standard part of gaming for as long as gaming has existed. This isn't anybody being 'apologetic'... it's people pointing out to you that photocopiers and scanners exist, because you seem to not be aware of this.
Try dialing down the hysteria a little. Yes, it would be easier if they offered them for download, for the benefit of those who don't have a scanner handy (is that actually a thing? Serious question) but it's not the end of the world.
