so ive picked up a few in trade and really like the model but i guess the consensus is that the rules suck for them.
i was wondering if any of you have seen any cool uses for them or had ideas what to do with them?

i was thinking of trying to do something with them to use as heavy destroyers but that seems like a stretch.

I've picked up a few extra because there are some neat conversions going around the FB necron groups with them.

Some have you basically using the upper body to replace the rider for an ark (transport or doom gun variations). Others make spiders out of them by clipping the legs shorter.

That's the guy who made the conversions I saw. If you scroll through his posts you'll find them, the more recent ones are all painted and converted up, but if you read comments he often links to or mentions how he went about building stuff

It's a neat conversion and economical too, you don't *need* any extra parts and you're trading a mechanically bad unit for one that is pretty well received in this edition. And comes in groups, so having lots is beneficial

I've got indomitus and the eradication legion now (thanks fam!) so I'm considering nabbing one more from ebay to complete a trio.

Honestly? I’ve got two, maybe three (I think it’s three) because reasons.

Whilst I’m not likely to use them in a game, or at least not all three? They will make excellent test beds for painting techniques and schemes I want to try out, precisely because I’m not likely to use them.

I can see "Rule of 3" being something that hangs around for a long while for many units and Reanimators I don't see to working in squads. So I tend to future proof myself a little in getting 3 that I'm keeping as Reanimators for now. Sure right now today they aren't the best, but they are cheap.

I'd rather have them ready for the day that an Errata/FAQ/New Codex suddenly turns them around.
