I know 40 pts for a 2 wound model is kind of extreme, but if they are a good anti-eradicator thing are they super worth it?

I feel like Eradicators and Inceptors are better anti-Eradicator units. The last fusil is cool, but a tad overpriced.

Still tho that flat 3 dmg is hot vs these 3 wound marines

Heavy Hellblasters do a better job in my experience.

That flat 3 damage is with one fewer shot, one point less in AP, and is the maximum output rather than the minimum (as is the case with the heavy melta rifles).

The only thing that las fusil has going for it against a squad of Eradicators fighting other Eradicators is the fact that this is its only job and it can do it from much further away and can do so from a superior position due to deployment tricks.

If that's of value for your particular army, I'd say it's worth it. I'm just not sure how true that is for most.

imo there is alot of 3 wound toughness 5 stuff in the space marine codex that needs to die, but ya doing it from a safe distance is great, but the smaller board sizes do make this less of an advantage imo

Personally I think Land speeders are one of the best ways to deal with them. Eradicators can't fall back and shoot and are worthless in melee. Remember you have to use all of eradicators weakness against them. They can't split fire or they lose half their shots - they can't fall back and shoot or shoot in melee. Single speeders aren't worth the eradicators dedicated firepower and 1 speeder could easily take them out of the game if it gets into melee with them.

In more melee oriented matchups the speeders will shoot with impunity. 70 points is not bad at all for a 16" move MM with fly.

How are you fielding them? Just fly into melee with them?

I don't think that a 110-point eliminator squad with two las fusils and a sergeant with an instigator bolt carbine is a terrible choice. I mean, they have concealed positions so that they can be deployed in a good shooting position and, unlike eradicators, they aren't a one-shot unit as you can hide them again after having shot. Las fusil has great range and they can be moved around the board with guerrilla tactics stratagem. They are better as raven guard anyway. Librarian in phobos armour with shrouding power can help them too.
