So in a game i put 6 aggressors in strategic reserve, paid 2x.cp for it. Then at the start of deployment i combat squad them into 2x units of 3.

During the game i brpught them on in 2x different places.

My opponent thought they should come on as 6 in 1 place and then act as 2 seperate units.

I know ive done the ordering of resersing and combat squadding correctly but was it ok to bring them on in 2x different locations?

This should be in YMDC. You cannot combat squad strategic reserves. Because step 10 of matched play is declaring strategic deserves, and step 11 is deployment. Combat squad splitting is at the start of deployment, in step 11. Because your strategic reserves arent deployed in step 11, they are strategic reserves in step 10, they cant use combat squads, you cant go back to 10, once you reached 11.

I disagree tho, it says nowhere that combat squads have to be units that are going to be deployed in the deployment stage.
It.merely says declare combat squads before any models are deployed

I suggest you read the current combat squad rule, before engaging in rules discussions. The rule has been changed 11 weeks ago, with the new SM Codex 2.0. Combat squads now says "At the start of deployment....", and deployment is step 11 of matched play. Strategic reserves are step 10, you dont go back.
