As I understand it, marines get Doctrines as long as every model has the Angels of Death keyword.

Normally you wouldn't want to soup Marines between chapters because while they wouldn't lose Doctrines, they do lose their super doctrine.

But what happens when I take (random chapter), and Deathwatch.

Deathwatch says to use their Mission Tactics ability instead of doctrines for your Army, so would that include the models from the other chapter?

Glasgow

You get doctrines if all your models have angels of death

You are not required to have the angels of death. Only to have all your models have the adeptus astartes agent of the imperium or unaligned kwywords

So you don't lose combat doctrines for mixing deathwatch and sm

You lose the super doctrines by mixing sm chapters

E.g. blood angels loose the extra attack in the assault doctrine (Savage echoes)

Yeah they changed how Combat Doctrine eligibility works in the 9th edition codex, to allow for things like Assassins and Inquisitors to work with Space Marines.

If you have a Detachment of Deathwatch and a detachment of Blood Angels, they'll each benefit from whatever Combat Doctrines do for that army, but they won't get their Superdoctrines like Savage Echos.
